  • Dorze (Ethiopia) bamboo construction

Time lapse construction of a house by the Dorze in Ethiopia.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0AJ...adArchitecture

featuring Bamboo (structure), straw (insulation) and bark (water proofing)

I had no idea that Bamboo grew in Ethiopia.

Zero metal or fasteners anywhere with the exception of an adz blade

    interesting scafold and ladder techniques

Near the end, note the fowl cage and cow in the living room.

I think they could 'use with a' chimney or at least better draft/ventilation.

Indeed, they've been "master weavers for centuries" and no one has figured out how to weave in a hole near the top. Even teepees have a smoke flap.
