Over the last 10 or so years I've been on a path away from consumerism. 3 years ago I watched my neighbor cutting his grass for the second time in 10 days and that was the last straw. My wife and I ditched our house and we found this abandoned old shack hidden in the trees. It's owner was selling it as a tear down. I had never done any house construction or repair work.
    Front and Rear:

We moved in after 7 months with plastic bubble wrap for windows. Three years and many uTube videos later we're nowhere near done but we're very comfortable in our shack in the woods.
Recent Pics of front and rear:

We are so much happier than we were. I think it might be all that oxygen from the trees. Oh, here's some pics of our outdoor shower

I'd show you pics of our indoor shower but we don't have one.

I've figured out that the less stuff I buy the happier I am. I still have a long way to go along the continuum of de-cluttering and simplifying my life. Next step is to begin to understand how to grow as much of my own food as possible. If you're ever in my neck of the woods please stop by!

    Hi Remout,

You're a man after my own heart...and, in terms of your shelter arrangements, even further down the self-reliance track. I love the shack...and the outdoor shower.

Can you link us to your YouTube videos?

    Gary

PS...I'm trying to find out why those little boxes with question marks in them appear where you posted your photos. It's happened to me, too. Hopefully, I'll find the answer soon.

When I wrote about uTube I meant that I watched dozens of others videos on how to build and repair a house

I wonder if the little boxes are browser specific? I don't see them in Chrome or Edge on Win10. I left my beloved macbook at home today so I can't check Safari.

Could be browser-specific. All of the machines that have reported the issue are Macs of one type or another.

Gary, I'm on my Mac Running Sierra 10.12.5 and Safari 10.1.1
          I'm not seeing any boxes.
